Asset Allocation Subcommittee
The objective of the Asset Allocation Subcommittee is to develop asset allocation guidelines for each of our five investment objectives.
Asset classes included in our investment objectives are those identified by the Asset Allocation Subcommittee. To warrant inclusion, several factors are considered:
- Investability of the asset class
- Liquidity of the vehicles used to gain exposure to the asset class
- Costs of investing in the asset class
- Secular investment outlook
- Size of the market
- Expected return
- Expected risk
- Correlation to other asset classes
The Asset Allocation Subcommittee uses a variety of tools to test risk, return and correlation assumptions to develop optimal weights for each asset class, thus forming the basis of our investment objectives.
